The company does business under various versions of Sugar and Spice Children’s Academy. The company is a family owned and operated day care network serving the Texas county of Guadalupe and surrounding areas including the cities of Seguin and Geronimo. Child care seven days a week, twenty four hours a day is available. Child care for newborns through 12 years of age is offered at competitive rates . Families enrolled in the state child care assistance program ( CCDS ) are accepted. Free meals are included and is administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture, whose goal is to “Ensure that children have access to healthy meals“. Transportation to and from campuses of the Seguin ISD and Navarro ISD is available. After school tutoring is furnished and a commercially produced curriculum is provided to daycare enrollees starting at age two.
THREE LOCATIONS
Sugar and Spice Children’s Academy is a fully licensed day care center and has been in business at 311 E. Court St., Seguin, Tx., since 9/19/01. It is licensed for 144 children. It is located near the center of downtown Seguin. This center has been voted “The Best Day Care “ by readers of the Seguin Gazette each year since 2004. It is staffed by the following: a center director, a director of nutrition/curriculum, two assistant directors, 9 full time teachers, 7 part time teachers , a full time cook and a custodian.
Sugar and Spice Children’s Academy #2 was opened in the fall of 2008. It is licensed for a total of 61 children, newborn through age 12. It is located in the Seguin city limits, but is in the Navarro Independent School District. It is located approximately one mile north of I.H. 10 at 3569 North 123 By-Pass toward the city of Geronimo. It is staffed by the following: a center director, a director of nutrition/curriculum, an assistant director, 6 full time teachers, 5 part time teachers , a cook and a custodian.
Sugar and Spice Early Birds was opened in 2006. It is licensed for a total of 31 children, newborn through age 12. It is staffed by the following: a center director, an assistant director, 2 full time teachers, 1 part time teacher and support staff from the other centers. It is located inside the Early Bird Townhomes complex’s activity center building, #1202. This is the smallest of the 3 centers but offers the same features of the larger centers. Seguin ISD buses pickup & deliver school students at the front gate of this complex.
